Dredge Tips:
When something comes up on the dredge the first reaction is to move the teaser away. In most cases, by the time you get this cumbersome teaser out of the way, the fish is gone. Instead of fooling with the dredge, immediately start to position rigged baits near the dredge. Either drop them back or reel the long baits up. Usually the fish will leave the dredge and go to one of the new offerings. You can bring the dredge in after the fish is hooked-up.

Another little known trick is to have a "drop bait" ready to go over the side when a fish comes up on the dredge. As soon as you see something on the dredge, drop the bait over and let it out in free-spool. Keep letting it out even after the fish has left the scene. More often than not, the fish is going back for the bait it thinks it "whacked" in the artificial bait ball. You'll be surprised how ofter this "drop bait" will produce.
