Gooney Birds™ are the latest innovation from Tournament Cable, Inc. A Teaser that creates action that is unequaled by anything else available even at speeds as low a 3 knots.
Unlike Bowling Pin Teasers Gooney Birds will not hit the main tow line which causes chaffing of the line. This constant hitting of the pin on the line results in a weakened line that must be replaced quite often. Also as a result of chaffing the pins become quite banged up as well.
Gooney Birds™ do not touch the main tow line and swim wildly from side to side. And because of the shape they are much easier to handle especially when retrieving the teaser. Gooney Birds™ also have a more lifelike profile and shape which more resembles a bait fish.
Because of the particularly great action at low speeds the Gooney Birds™ are perfect to use in a pattern of natural baits. When fast trolling the birds will tend to come to the surface and create a tremendous amount of splash and noise. To keep them down at the higher speeds will require some additional weight.
Gooney Bird Splash/Bar Teasers have our exclusive titanium V-Bar added which creates and adds surface action and noise just ahead of the Gooney Birds. A combination of surface and sub-surface teaser action like no others.
